Mrs. Glorinha, as she is known, lives next to the Church of Sousa and shows great appreciation for it: 'I've always liked the Church, I've always liked to serve, no matter whom.' She has been a carer since 1992.
She recalls with a big smile the best moments spent in that Church, like her communions, dressed in white.
She keeps in her memory a story told by her grandmother: the story of the Moorish woman who carried stones on her head to build the Church and who was buried in the church wall. Even today, she perpetuates this legend, encouraging her granddaughter to place flowers on the Moorish woman's tomb.
She reveals that, after joining the Route of the Romanesque, the Church of Sousa has received many tourists, mostly foreigners, and that they find the Church very beautiful.
