The summer season is, throughout the country, a time from which there has been increasing influx to natural and protected areas. In order to raise awareness among visitors, the Route of the Romanesque joined 11 tourism networks, from North to South of Portugal, to sign an invitation to responsible travel.

Taking advantage of an initiative by Turismo de Portugal that brought together several collaborative tourism networks from North to South of the country, the Route of the Romanesque joined these entities  to reinforce the invitation to responsible travel, now on a national scale.
